INTEGRATED GEOPHYSICAL SURVEYS ON THE SHELF OF THE KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN

In order to implement the project the equipment, topogeodetic, geophysical equipment and personnel of the field crew were delivered to the area of the work performance. All necessary work permits have been obtained. To perform the geologic exploration the equipment of the ships was upgraded. Continuous interfaces with the coast guard service was performed in the course of the project implementation.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

Clarification of the subsurface geological structure
Identification of potentially productive intervals (layers), the determination of the roofs, beds, identification and delineation of the faults
Obtaining of reliable information on the depth of the crystalline basement and sedimentary cover thickness
Collection of data on hydrocarbon emissions for comparison with other methods and more reliable distribution potential traps
