Rosgeo and Rwanda Council on Mines and Hydrocarbons have made an Agreement on basic conditions of technical cooperation, today, within the Russia-Africa Economic Forum.

Sergey Gorkov, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Rosgeo, and Francis Gatare, CEO of the Council on Mines and Hydrocarbons of the Republic of Rwanda, signed the document.

Under this Agreement, Rosgeo is committed to create a physico-mechanical and chemical-analytical laboratory facilities, and to conduct the geological and geophysical explorations of Lake Kivu for hydrocarbon potential in the territory of the Republic of Rwanda. Besides, Rosgeo will assist Rwanda in developing the mineral resource base of raw earth elements.
