KamNIIKIGS (Perm, a subsidiary of the state-owned holding RosGeo) will conduct the analyzes of drilled core samples from Arctic islands. The Company won the corresponding open tender procedure. The customer under the contract is the All-Russian Research Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources of the World Ocean named after Academician I.S. Gramberg. The examination are funded by the federal budget.

The project scope envisages the analysis of the samples taken from the paramateric wells drilled on the islands Kolguev (Bugrinskaya-1, Izhimka-Tarkskaya-1, West Peschanoozerskoye-3) and West Spitsbergen (Grumantskaya-1).

The geochemical studies are performed on the basis of Rock-Eval 6 analytical instrument that enables to quantify the hydrocarbon potential properties of sedimentary rocks and oil potential.

The final geological report will contain a database of analytical studies. The project completion is scheduled for September 2019.
