Kimry, Tver region, July 28, 2020 - Today, Kimry hosted a work meeting dedicated to the development prospects of a RosGeo subsidiary - GEOSVIP. The meeting was attended by Dmitry Kobylkin, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Alexander Morozov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Igor Rudenya, Governor of the Tver Region and Sergey Gorkov, Director General - Chairman of the Board of RosGeo.

“GEOSVIP is a unique enterprise with 25 years of experience in development and production of modern vibration sources using advanced design and production solutions," said Sergey Gorkov, the Head of RosGeo. “We are grateful to the federal authorities, administration of Tver region for active engagement in the discussion of our subsidiary development prospects , which is of great importance for the whole seismic exploration industry in Russia."

Over the last years GEOSVIP has developed and prepared for introduction into production a new progressive line of vibration sources with innovative solutions, in particular, the vibration source SV-30B in M2 modification , which is a deep upgrading of the serially-produced vibration source SV-30B, modification M1.

The deep upgrading resulted in improvements of the emitted signal characteristics during vibrosource operation at low frequencies, the replacement of analog sensors and monitoring and control instrumentation with digital system provided the performance reliability enhancement and reduction of the maintenance durability.

Vibrosource CB-30B in M3 design differs from M2 modification with an opportunity for mounting, in the field, without the manufacturer involvement, of the wheels or caterpillar blocks that allows the geophysical businesses to tailor the equipment to different operation conditions.

The upgrade will significantly improve the competitiveness of GEOSVIP products in comparison with the leading international manufacturers of such equipment.

During the meting the participants discussed a number of initiatives put on the table by RosGeo and GEOSVIP for implementation of a set of activities aimed at reduction of the import-dependence in the national geological exploration to ensure the sustainable development of the Russian technopolices, prospect of the Russian companies in elaboration of the national geological prospecting instrumentation, possible mechanisms for governmental support to these initiatives.
