Sergey Gorkov, Director General – Chairman of the Board of RosGeo took part in the 22-nd meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Mongolian Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation in Ulan-Bator, Mongolia. Within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission the parties held a meeting with the President of the Republic, Haltmaagiyn Battulga, to discuss the issues of cooperation in development of the mineral and raw materials base of Mongolia, they emphasized the important role to be played by RosGeo in this area.

During the visit to Mongolia General Director - Chairman of the Board of RosGeo also held a meeting with the Minister of Heavy and Mining Industries Dolgorsurengin Sumyabazar and head of the company Erdenet Badamsuren Huhor. Following the results of the negotiations the parties agreed to establish a joint venture for the joint search of mineral deposits.

“Mongolia is a promising region for making major discoveries," said S. Gorkov. - The experts of the Holding from the Soviet era accumulated the considerable experience of operations in the state, and collected the geological database. I think we can apply this information for cooperation with Mongolia in the purposes of development of the economies in both our countries. RosGeo is capable to become one of the main strategic partners in national and international exploration projects for Mongolia".
