Rosgeo and the Government of the Kamchatka Territory have made an Agreement of Cooperation in the field of comprehensive geological subsoil study and exploitation, reproduction and development of the regional mineral resource base, within the Eastern Economic Forum, today. Sergey Gorkov, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Rosgeo, and Vladimir Ilyukhin, Governor of the Kamchatka Territory.

The new five-year Agreement focuses on the development and enhancement of the cooperation between Rosgeo and the Kamchatka Territory as part of the Agreement of cooperation made in 2016. The priority areas for the joint operation are to implement federal and regional public programmes on reproduction of the mineral and raw material base in the Region; forecasting, prospecting, exploration and development of mineral deposits using the advanced methods and technologies of geological exploration; efficient and sustainable use of natural resources, environmental conservation; national monitoring of the subsurface condition.

Rosgeo's subsidiaries – Kamchatgeologia and Irkutskgeophysica, are currently engaged in the geological explorations in the Kamchatka Territory within the public contracts to the amount of more than 2 bln Rubles.
